Wait. What’s a Class 4, hail-resistant shingle?
It’s an asphalt shingle that takes a 2-inch steel ball dropped from 20 feet, and it bends to avoid fracture like no other does. Such a procedure is the Class 4 UL 2218 Impact Resistance test, and most asphalt shingles don’t pass it.
Ok, and what’s a Polymer-Modified shingle?
It’s a combination of both durable roofing asphalt with the performance benefits of rubberizing polymers. This formula results in a Class 4 rating for protection against hail impact, as well as an all-weather incredibly good performance.
